Quiet Glide Flat Rail Barn Door Hardware
what rail length do i need?
We recommend a rail length of at least double the width of your door. For example, if your door is 1.2m wide, we recommend using a 2.4m rail. Some customers also like to have some decorative overhang of approx. 100mm on either side.
my door/opening is extremely wide, what is the longest rail length you have AVAILABLE?
We have rail lengths available in 3' (914mm), 4' (1219mm), 6' (1828mm) and 8' (2438mm) lengths, with the rails being designed to seamlessly join together with the use of Splice Kits. Which can give you as much overall length as your project requires.
my door is heavy, will the hardware hold it?
Our Quiet Glide hardware has been 100,000-time cycle tested, to hold 115kgs of door weight. You will most likely find, that even extremely wide doors weigh less than this.
I have an architrave around my door, does this matter?
This depends on the thickness of your door and architrave. We have brackets that will work well with thicknesses of up to 44mm. If you have a thicker door/architrave, please contact us to discuss the different options we have available.
